Objective

To provide an option for working, single parents to have a safe place for their children and adolescents to go after school and on Saturdays. To support and supervise children and adolescents who would otherwise be unsupervised and potentially at risk to be influenced by alcohol, drugs, or other negative outside influences.

Benefits

  • More and mentally healthier youth.
  • Decrease in the level of youth involved in crimes and deviant behavior.
  • Children and youth will receive resources and support to assist with schoolwork.
  • Single, working parents will be able to focus fully on their jobs knowing that their children are in a safe place.
  • With the parents able to work, this decreases the cost of state support needed to these families and increases the per capita income of the population.
